First Round: Flea Market

The first round of the event was designed to test discernment and negotiation skills of the teams under the stimulated pressurized condition. For this round, participants were divided into two categories: ‘Seller’ teams and ‘Buyer’ teams. In 25 minutes, ‘Seller’ teams were provided with a set of items & were required to maximize their revenue by selling those items to ‘Buyer’ teams at negotiated prices. ‘Buyer’ teams were provided with same amount of cash & were required to maximize their purchase value which was calculated based on pre-decided costs of products. ‘Seller’ teams were ranked based on the revenue earned by them while ‘Buyer’ teams were ranked based on value of products purchased by them. Teams were selected for the next round based on the participating ‘Buyer’:’Seller’ ratio.

Second Round: Bingo Bubble

Top 15 teams from the first round were selected for the second round of the event, where we tested their knowledge about recent happenings in finance sector, financial concepts, and mathematical concepts as well. The teams were required to solve 25 questions and record their responses in a BINGO matrix provided to them within 10 minutes. After this, all the teams were supposed to call out answers from their matrices and we gave solutions to the questions on-the-go. The objective of the teams was to form 5 lines with correct answers in their BINGO matrices. First teams to complete the objective were taken to the final round.

Third Round: Stock Market

The third and final round of the event was conducted among the top 5 teams of the second round. This round was conceptualized for the teams to prove their strategizing dexterity and their investment intellect. In this final round, teams were expected to make investments in stocks of 6 companies based on the 10 cards that each team received. The teams struggled to manage their cash balance and make the right investments by predicting the stock market trends after each round. Each team strived to acquire maximum net worth as that was the criteria to conclude the champions.
